h2o hamletmonologue

performative installation/2015

in collaboration with anna-sofie lugmeier

H2O is an installation-based representation of a mental state in relation to the story of hamlet. It is coupled to a specific architectural situation as a cubator to summon fragments of memory. The expedition-like guided tour through the basement of the old Viennese theaterdepot gives an insight into a story-encrypted system, that can be seen as an archive and is always linking and relinking parts of a story. You hear a lost dialog, re-narrated and transmitted via walkie-talkie at the basin accompanied by the synthetic sounds of a theremin.
